Michael B. Kivort, an associate of the firm since 2001, focuses his practice on general civil litigation, commercial litigation, and toxic torts. Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants, he brings a unique perspective to his practice. His experience runs the gamut from large commercial disputes to asbestos and silica litigation and software copyright matters.

Michael has served on the National Board of the Brandeis University Alumni Association and as President of the Brandeis Alumni Club of Houston (2000 - 2006). He also volunteers for the Brandeis Alumni Admissions Council, interviewing prospective new students and attending college fairs at local high schools.

Michael is a native of Schenectady, New York. He is an avid musician, traveler, and wine enthusiast. Michael resides in Houston with his wife, Patricia.
