Mr. Wallis’ professional experience has primarily been in litigation of matters filed in state and federal courts in
Louisiana, Illinois, and Missouri. He has significant experience litigating cases involving allegations of physical
injuries, including pharmaceutical products liability litigation, environmental litigation, and premises liability. He
also has a depth of experience litigating claims of serious financial harm, including litigation involving fiduciary breaches
to retirement plans.
While representing defendants, Mr. Wallis has managed large dockets that encompass the claims of hundreds of individual
plaintiffs. He also defended a leading manufacturer and developer of pharmaceuticals in wide-ranging products liability
litigation.
Mr. Wallis has also represented plaintiffs, appearing on behalf of classes of thousands of individuals alleging breaches of
fiduciary duty under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”). Additionally, he has represented
businesses in litigation involving commercial contracts.
Mr. Wallis uses his professional background to serve the community by representing clients through the New Orleans Pro Bono
Project.
Mr. Wallis is a member of the Louisiana, Illinois and Missouri bar associations, and the New Orleans Association of Employee
Benefit Planners.
