hueberJan Hueber is a partner in Cotten Schmidt & Abbott, L.L.P. and concentrates her practice on litigation including commercial, toxic tort, medical negligence, premises, and products liability. Jan serves as state counsel for companies with national “mass tort” litigations involving allegations of property damage and personal injury.

Jan assists in representation of DuPont and started doing so in 1993 in the successful TMJ implant litigation having won every TMJ case that went to a final judgment. She has worked on the Texas premises liability litigation for DuPont since 1996. In 1997, Jan began representing Whirlpool in products liability actions filed in Texas. She has prevailed at trial in federal court on behalf of Whirlpool and continues to represent them today. Jan has represented A. W. Chesterton in products liability actions filed against it in Texas and continues in that role. She continues to serve as personal counsel to physicians involved in medical malpractice lawsuits. Being married to Dr. Michael Hueber has given Jan a unique insight into the emotional side of medical negligence litigation. Jan guides physicians through the litigation process and lends personal support as well. Jan has long-term relationships with her clients and it shows. She establishes relationships and produces results that protect and preserve her clients’ interests.
